So, I can accurately move across the screen and use my mouse buttons to click. The trackpad I have is an old one from 2008, it has two mouse buttons as well. *** Then I copied the Trackpad.prefPane to the location specified, rebuilt permissions from terminal, rebooted laptop, and my trackpad works. Maybe related to my settings, I don't know. *** By the way in El Capitan 10.11.6, other kext installers like EasyKext Pro, Kext Wizard, KCPM Utility Pro do not seem to work to install kexts, I managed to only make KextBeast work. El Capitan has some more security added, so I could not copy the files to System/Library/Extensions by copying - I used KextBeast to install them. I had removed all Apple kexts before, therefore I removed all VooDoo PS2 stuff manually from terminal. I followed the instructions given after "UPDATE, a BETTER one. So, I found this thread and followed it through: I could not use it to point like a mouse, the pointer was running wild all over the place. Rehabman's VooDoo PS2 kext's did not work on my laptop. I had great trouble with getting my Synaptics PS/2 trackpad working on El Capitan 10.11.6. But it works with the fix I describe here. Building a CustoMac Hackintosh: Buyer's Guide
